May I start the first edition of the 19th News this year by thanking all Members for their patience and forbearance over a very difficult period.

Your loyalty and support of the Club, fellow Members and the Community is a credit to you all.

Happy New Year!

2021; I am going to coin it early – the “Year of the Vaccination”! Let us hope that it brings normality and that we can again laugh and cheer, standing up with a quenching drink, after a game of Golf! On behalf of Your Board, Management and Staff, may 2021 be happy, healthy and prosperous for you all.

The Raffles return next Friday. Alex (VP) and Graham (GM) have been working with the team to get a Covid-safe option ready.

Next week also sees the start of the installation of our new Sign near the 18th Tee facing Goulding Road. This has been a long road to ensure compliance with Traffic Safety and related matters. Your Board and Management believe this will provide a significant opportunity for Your Club. The Sign consists of several static panels and a large electronic display that can be remotely updated. It will be used to advertise Club facilities, Sponsors and, importantly, Community events.

Next week (Saturday 16) also sees the Amateur Cup, one of the most important events of the year – so get down to the Club on Saturday morning and see some of the best golfers struggle to come to terms with our beautiful course.

To say that feedback from Members regarding the new Fee structure is diverse is an understatement. I place on record that Your Board takes all Member feedback seriously.

Your Board will continue to look at all feedback and options, and endeavour to act in the best interests of all Members.

Stay safe, enjoy the new year – the course is in magnificent condition.
