A Timely Reminder

Dear Members, this will be our last newsletter for 2020. The Board and Management wish you and all your families a safe and happy Christmas and we look forward to seeing you in the New Year! The next 19^TH NEWS will come out on 8 Jan 2021 so stay tuned.

Just a reminder for this busy time of year, in the spirit of respect for other golfers, should you need to scratch your name off the timesheets, please do so within at least 24 hours to enable others the opportunity to book in and get a game.

Our Thanks!

On behalf of all ladies, I would like to express our thanks to Ann Conway who has done an outstanding job during the last four and a half years as Lady Captain. Ann will be stepping down after Christmas but will stay on as Vice-Captain until July supporting me as I take over.

Ann is leaving "huge shoes" to fill and I am incredibly grateful to her for the guidance and training she has given me to take over from her. I will give it my best shot!

Best wishes for Christmas and the year ahead.

2021 North Ryde Amateur Cup

The 2021 North Ryde Amateur Cup will be held in January on Saturday 16. To be eligible you must have a Playing Handicap of 8 or less.

This year we are using miTournament for visitors to register for the event. Members please do not register through miTournament as it will ask you to pay the "Visitors Entry Fee price of $30", as a playing member you need only pay the normal "Comp Fee of $14" on the day.

For members to register there is a sign-up sheet on a clipboard at the downstair's kiosk area outside the locker rooms. Enter your name, member number and preferred time. If you have previously setup a login to miTournament please confirm "yes" on the signup sheet as it helps the Club when finalising the event. Alternatively, you can also email your details to office@northrydegolfclub.com.au with title "Amateur Cup" to enter.

Vet's News

We hope that those that played our Hams Day last Monday, enjoyed the day and finished before the light rain arrived. We trust that those who had played the required 16 Rounds during our most unusual year, collected their hams to enjoy and share on Christmas Day and beyond.

Hams Day, as usual, is our last game for the year. Our first game for 2021 is January 11 as indicated in the 2020 Fixtures Book.

2021 will see us returning to our usual fortnightly programme, so our second .....

From Reception

As the year draws to a close, we would like to take this opportunity to wish all our Members a very Merry Christmas and a Safe and Happy New Year.

This year has certainly been up and down and we have missed seeing many lovely faces visiting us at reception.

We would like to thank all our members for their support and patience in a struggling year and hope that 2021 brings many more smiling faces by reception.
