The Bronze III team had their first game last Friday at Pennant Hills. They were unfortunately defeated by Muirfield 3/2. It was a glorious day and the course was magnificent. This week they will play Killara at Castle Hill. Good luck to everyone.
Upcoming Women's Events
Foursomes Championships - Tuesday 6 June: The sheets are out in the locker room for the Foursomes Championships. This is a scratch event drawn in divisions and played over two consecutive weeks. The lowest marker of the pair will determine the division the pair competes in.
Medal Round 5 - Tuesday 20 June: As there have been some problems with the medal timesheets the next medal round will be manually drawn. The sheets are out in the locker room now for this medal round so please get your names down as soon as possible.
Invitation Day - Thursday 22 June: There is a sheet out in the locker room for Invitation Day. Your team must have at least one visitor to win. Teams of four members will be able to play but cannot win the event of the day but will only be eligible for the ball competition. The entry fee for your guests is $25 which should be placed in an envelope with their name and golflink number. Members pay the normal green fee at the Pro Shop on the day.
The Singles Knockout final: This was played last Thursday between Monica Shon and Karol Hwang. It was a great match and Karol was eventually declared the winner. Congratulations to you both for reaching the final.
Biggest Morning Tea Next Tuesday, 16 May
Please bring along some savoury items and delicious, wickedly good, tasty biscuits, cakes and/or slices to sell/buy on the day. Please wrap the food and label them with the ingredients. Your donations can be left at the Halfway Bar either before you play or after your game. Even if you are not playing you could come along, have a coffee and catch up with your friends.
It's not too late to contribute something very special which can be added to the raffle baskets. Don't forget CASH for tickets and purchases.
