Last Sunday our Men's Major Pennant Team went into battle with Dunheved Golf club in the relegation game at Liverpool Golf Club for our last game of the season.
A huge effort by our team saw us coming away in celebration as we won 6-1. The result very well could have been a 7-0 annihilation but when we got enough matches, we called time. All matches started fair and our strength showed thru all the way to the end. Just ask Alister McKie how his match went and what happened on the 8th hole, a par 5.
This year we were assigned in a very challenging draw with Muirfield, Long Reef and Bonnie Doon. We played 6 matches over 6 weeks and we had 3 drawn matches. We were very competitive and on a number of occasions we went down to the wire - what it could have been with 1-2 more putts. That's golf!
