Ball Divers
Last week Tuesday, 17 January you may have spotted some interesting wildlife in our dams or rather something disturbing the wildlife. Twice a year we have golf ball divers come and collect the many lost balls that settle in the base of the 4 dams.
It's a full day for the divers starting from 7am and finishing in the afternoon. Golf ball divers are professional recyclers, retrieving the many balls that are then cleaned and recycled (see pictured 4 large bags of balls!). They will be back again in six month's time to collect more lost balls keeping our dams in good condition.
2023 President's Cup
Last Saturday 21 January was the Annual President's Cup. Congratulations to Winner Steve Panetta with a score of 44, runner up closely following with 42 - Col Crockart. A close competition with great scores!
Major Pennants
The season kicks off this Sunday, 29 January with a home match against Manly. It's a 7am start but if you can make it down anytime during the morning to support the guys, it would be appreciated.
The line-up for the match is: Matt Gordon, Jackson Fennell, Michael Hooper, Joseph Lin, Alex Sghabe, Tom Crockart and Ali McKie with Luke Cincotta playing reserve.
Good luck to the squad.

Irene Taylor - Fun Facts
This week we officially welcome Irene Taylor to our team. Irene is a dedicated Rugby Union Player, playing for the Eastwood Club for over 8 years as well as helping coach and mentor some of the junior girls and boys. Adding to this Irene also coaches her alma mater Mount St Benedict's Team.
Irene's idea of chilling is to watch a good movie, play a hand or two (maybe more) of cards and board games with friends and family. Another fun fact, is she is known to belt out a good tune at a karaoke night! While this year Irene is taking a year off studying, she is planning on putting her coaching skills to use and train as a teacher.
Always with a ready smile, please get to know Irene.
