WOMEN VETERAN’S NOTES
Welcome to the 2023 golfing season of the North Ryde Veterans. Our first event of the year is our Invitation Day on Thursday, 30 March. It will be an Irish Teams Event, 2 divisions with the two best scores to count, NTP’s, Straightest Drives, plus a ball run down. So organise your visitors soon. All visitors must be a financial member of the Veterans at their club.
Our next event is the Challenge Brooch played on Sunday, 2 April for the weekend women and Tuesday, 4 April for the weekday women. All players must be financial members of the VWGA of NSW.
- Division I. Handicaps 0-20, Division 2. Handicaps 20 ½ -29, Division 3. Handicaps 29 ½ -45
- Weekend Handicaps 0-45
- Senior Veterans must be 70 years at time of playing.
Our Thursday 9 hole competition begins again on Thursday, 9 February. Pay an extra $1 at the Pro Shop to compete, you will need to score on a paper card, which you place in the Veteran’s Box in the locker room at the ½ way mark. Balls won will be entered onto your account at the Pro Shop.
Any member of North Ryde who wishes to join the Veterans, please see Cheryl Ward, Adele Sloane or myself for an application form. To join the VWGA of NSW the cost is $17 which you pay only once. To join the North Ryde Veterans the cost is $22 paid annually. North Ryde fees are now due, place money in an envelope with your NAME and put in the Veteran’s Box on the bench in the locker room.
