Weekly Course Update
Just a reminder about our stockpile of fire wood – The club has a large amount of stock pilled wood for members to access, almost all timber is cut for immediate use with all being easy to load into a car boot or trailer. Pickup is by arrangement, Monday to Friday only during work hours 5.30 am – 2.00 pm.
The clubs tree contractors have been on site this week removing a number of dead and diseased trees plus low hanging branches, other than 2 more on the road side of the 7th mounds to remove we have completed this maintenance project. An added bonus is that we retain all wood-chip from these dead trees on course to use in selected areas.
Bunker drainage/ sand depth maintenance is still ongoing with another 6 completed this past week, depending on the weather and golf it will require approx. 4 weeks to complete all bunkers.
A lot of time was also spent blowing leaves and tree debris from the course due to the extremely high winds of this past week, the small and medium size sticks can cause damage to the cutting cylinders of the mowers and must be removed before mowing, hopefully we have seen the last of the high winds for a while.
