Weekly Course Update
After receiving a welcome 127 mm of rain last week the course has jumped with fairways and surrounds having to be cut twice a week now. Tee conditioning is coming along as the couch really needs the soil temperatures to rise before they take off.
Tees received a fertiliser application along with a light top-dress this week and will be greatly improved come championships next week.
Primo has been applied to the greens along with a light dethatch and dust in next week to increase firmness and speed leading into round 1 off the champs.
Some surround areas have been lightly top-dressed and also received a fertiliser application to improve the areas that suffer in the cooler months.
Dams have been sprayed to remove the weeds and may need a follow up application next week.
Overall, we are happy with the condition of the course leading into the championships next week with the ladies starting on Tuesday. Good luck to all those playing and happy golfing.
