Seasons Greetings from the Vice President

Hi All,

I would like to thank all those that were able to attend our club Christmas Party last Saturday night, it’s a very busy time of year so it is most generous of you to take time out to join us in our celebration. A good night was had by all, my family and friends attended largely as a show of support for me not knowing what to expect and they had wonderful evening, the food, service and our beautiful venue exceeded their expectations.

We also had a fantastic lucky door prize provided by Craigmoor Wines (Robert Oatley), a fabulous weekend away in Mudgee including accommodation, wine tasting and a lunch for two, this was won by a very excited Trish McManus. Congratulations to Trish, I’m sure there were a few envious friends on the same table, have a lovely time in Mudgee.

All of the above would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of our fabulous staff and caterer. The food was great, Amanda and her team made the room look like a picture perfect Christmas post card, the service is always first class, and it was Amanda’s hard work that secured the Lucky door prize.

From myself, the rest of your Board and if I may be so bold on behalf of all of the members, many thanks  to all our Club, Golf Course, Office, Catering and Pro Shop staff for all their hard work over the last year for providing positive experiences, fantastic service, and a world class Golf Course for Members , Visitors and the local community.

I extend that thanks to all the members that have supported your Board in all its endevours and initiatives so far in this current term, it is most pleasing to receive positive feedback and the not so positive is also welcome as your Board believes all feedback gives us greater insight when it comes to making both the easy and difficult decisions.

Your Board and I are looking forward to the next lot of challenges that face our much loved club in an ever changing business environment and serving the club and its members as best we can. In this I want to thank our wives, partners and families for letting us indulge in our passion on the Board of NRGC. I’m reminded of a line in Paul Kelly song “Everyday I build my life on her Sacrifice “. So, thank you all so very much.

Just a quick note, I noticed the D grade Foursomes Champions this year was won by Phil Town and Ted Brick, with Ted being 91 years old this would be some kind of a record for a person 90 + years of age to win a Club Championship Competition, well done Phil and Ted.

A couple of reminders.
