Director’s Message
Newly to the board for only a few months and still gaining experience, I am fortunate that all the board members led by the hard-working new president Mark, are very friendly and are trying to make a better and successful club putting new strategies in play.
All the new initiatives and changes are to focus on members benefits and a viable business plan for the club in the medium to long term.
Last Saturday we had a great Christmas Hams day with a BBQ and beers enjoyed by more than 200 members.
Captain Glenn, and Greg Sheaves were very busy handing out more than 30 quality hams to the winners of the day, enhancing the Christmas mood for everyone.
With the Vets Hams Day and Turkey day this week it’s certainly getting all our members in the Christmas mood.
Plus, a big win for the members cash draw and digger’s ham raffle on Friday with Doug Gannon winning both a Christmas Ham & the members cash jackpot of $750, congratulations Doug.
Stay in the Christmas spirit by joining us this Friday to be in the chance to win a ham and cash with the members draw like Doug and enjoy live music by the great singer Grant Newsome.
Finally, I am proud to be a member of North Ryde Golf Club as there are so many great people bringing a sense of fun, and I feel grateful to all the members and staff for being kind and accommodating to the many cultures within our Club.
Hopefully I can be of help to assist in better communications and better engagements for the club in the future.
