Women Veteran’s News Friday 25 November

Lady Veterans’ Party Day

What a fabulous and happy event, so many thanked us for a great day, a lovely meal and a fun raffle.

There were twelve major trophies won with a few very surprised winners.

Jackie Parsons, the President of the VWGA of NSW presented the badges to the Challenge Brooch winners.  The Gold Brooch winner for 2022 was Susan Chim, having the best nett score overall in Metropolitan Sydney.   North Ryde last won the Gold Brooch in 2015.

This year for the first time Rob & Alison Stubbs donated “The Meg Stubbs Memorial Trophy” for the most Gobblers, the first winner to have her name engraved on it was Jan Durham.

The Veterans’ Committee would like to thank everyone who donated a major trophy this year & all who supported our raffle by donating a prize or buying a ticket.  We look forward to seeing you all next year & we wish you a Very Merry Christmas & a Happy & Healthy New Year.
