Women’s News Friday 18 November

Silver II Salver Pennant (G.A Handicap 14.0)

The competition commences on Friday, 10 February,2023 and runs for seven weeks. North Ryde will host the third game (24 February) and North Ryde players do not play on this day. Pennant Hills, Roseville, Monash, Killara, Concord, and Oatlands are the courses you could play on. The Pennant game is a match play game.

If you are new to pennant, Barbara and I will be happy to have a game with you prior to the start of the competition. A team consists of five players with a reserve. I shall ask one of the players to be the field captain and her role will be to support the players at the applicable course. When possible, I shall arrange a practice round at each course prior to the game.

I will approach players with the appropriate handicap six weeks prior to the start of the competition to ascertain their interest in playing. I hope you will consider representing our Club.

Christmas Hampers donations

During Presentation day we will be raffling off Christmas Hampers. This year the club is financially supporting both the women and the men in their efforts to raise money for Cancer Research. We have chosen to support Ovarian Cancer Research. This is an extraordinarily generous offer by the club and does not take away from the Women’s fund raising activities directed towards the Shepherd Centre.
