Women’s Report 19 April’24
Achievements for this week.
- NSW Bowl is a competition between Weekend and Week Day women.
Week Day winners were Alice Wei & Lilian Ong with a score of 45.
Weekend winners Carmen Fife and Kathleen Coales with a score of 42. Over all winners were Alice & Lillian whose names will be submitted for ranking with Golf NSW. - North Ryde Salver is a Nett Event and the winner was Sue Currie with a daily handicap of 25 and a score of Nett 66. Runner Up was Sue Chim, daily handicap 19 with a Nett score of 67.
- Macquarie Bowl is a Scratch Event and the winner was Megan Starkey off a daily handicap of 15 with a score of 81. Runner Up was Helen Lee off a daily handicap of 14 with a score of 83.
- Autumn Plate is a Stableford event and the winner was Kathleen Coales with a daily handicap of 34 and a score of 35. Runner Up was Esther Yang with a daily handicap of 37 and a score of 34.

Singles Knockout final was played between Beryl Robinson and Judy Ro. After a very tightly fought match Judy was the eventual winner with Beryl the runner up.
Barbecue Success: Last Saturday, 13 April the women at North Ryde Golf Club organized a fundraising barbecue to try to raise funds for jumpers for the women’s Pennant Teams.
The BBQ was a huge success with over $1,600 being raised on the day. The weather was fortunately kind as we had had to postpone the event by a week due to the heavy rain on Friday, 5April. Many thanks to the generous and hungry gentlemen players who supported both the barbecue itself and the accompanying raffle. The meat raffle was won by John Cincotta and second prize went to Jackie White. Thanks too, to the many helpers during the day, particularly to Eve Sheppard and Sue Mezger who organized the occasion.
The Biggest Morning Tea for the Cancer Council – Tuesday 14 May The cake stall will be in the Halfway Bar, so too will presentation for that day. Your contributions of cakes, slices, cupcakes, biscuits, jams and preserves would be gratefully appreciated. Please list the ingredients. You can bring your delicious goods to the stall any time during the day.
