Winner Winner
I would like to thank the Club for this wonderful prize that I won at the Christmas Dinner function. We thoroughly enjoyed it last weekend.
The attached pictures tell the story but we travelled to Mudgee last Saturday and was amazed at how green the country was after the recent rains compared with the drought conditions only a few weeks earlier. It was also fascinating to see the bushfire damage surrounded by countryside that was so green you could think you were in Ireland. Our first stop was at Craigmoor Wineries where Dave looked after us very well and sold us half a dozen bottles of very nice wine. Our accommodation at Peppertree Terraces was excellent as was our dinner at the Oriental Hotel (beautiful local rib on the bone). On Sunday we moved on to Muswellbrook for the Vets Week of Golf with other North Ryde members. A most enjoyable week, although our golf could have been better. Other members did well and Joan Flaherty can probably tell you these results as a few of our members had placings.
Once again many thanks. I’m grateful I was so lucky.
