New Booking Policy

The Golf Committee and the Board are very aware of the current situation regarding members accessing tee time and are monitoring the situation and trying to make it fair for everyone. These are difficult times and getting the correct balance is tough as we have never had a situation like this before. A policy on members booking tee times was bought in to limit access to the time sheet so more members can get a game in the competitions. There has been some confusion over this policy so I will now confirm the rules.

Members Competition Booking Policy

• A member can only put his or her name down on a competition sheet ONCE A WEEK within the first hour of the sheet opening.
• One hour after a sheet has opened, and you have already put your name down for that week, you can put your name down for a second time if there are any spots available.
• The week starts on the Monday, so the first competition for the week will be the ladies on Tuesday and then the men on Wednesday
• That means if you are down for the Wednesday comp you cannot put your name down for the Saturday or Sunday comps within the first hour of the sheet opening.
• Members who put their name down twice within the first hour will have their name removed from the sheet.

Another issue being bought to our attention is social golf. Members who are missing out on competition golf are trying to play socially and are finding it difficult to get a game. We as a board acknowledge that members have the right to play social golf, but we also need to balance that with paying public to generate some income. I have been looking at social bookings and there is a lot of members booking in 7 days a week. In the current circumstances that is way too much and is blocking play for other members and paying public. We the board wish not to have to make rules and policies for every situation but unfortunately feel, we need to do so in this matter. So, in fairness to ALL MEMBERS this is our Social Golf Policy.

Members Social Booking Policy

• A member can only book to play social golf TWICE A WEEK.
• The policy starts effective immediately
• The week starts on a Monday
• If a member puts their name down more than twice their name will be removed.

This hopefully will give more members a better and fairer chance of playing some social golf. This policy will give members the possibility of 3 games of golf per week which under these restrictions is fair enough.
