Amateur Cup
Last Saturday the Club hosted the North Ryde Amateur Cup. This year we had 101 players, usually we only have around 75 players, so it is fantastic to see more playing in the event.
The winner was Michael Hooper from North Ryde with a 1 under round of 68, this is the first time a member from North Ryde has won since Greg Sheaves won in 2011, Congratulations to Michael. 2nd place was Gregory Fyson from Bonnie Doon with 69 on a countback from JP Curran from Moore Park who ran 3rd.
North Ryde showed once again that it isn’t as easy as people think, there were 39 people in the field who had a Handicap of scratch or better, with the lowest being 2 people playing off +5 yet Michael was the only player who was able to break Par on the day.
The North Ryde Amateur Shield was also played for Members with the winner being George Park with a Nett 66 on a countback.
