Ladies Update

Foursomes Championships
Over the last 2 weeks, the women have contested the Foursomes Championships. This is a 2-round scratch event played in 3 divisions – Division 1 (GA handicap 0-20), Division 2 (GA handicap 20.1 – 29.0) and Division 3 (GA handicap 25.1-54).  The lowest marker of the pair determines the division the pair competes in.

Congratulations to the following winners of each of the divisions:

Division 1:   Morag Irons & Lorraine Taylor with rounds of 89 and 85.
Division 2:  Lis Oldfield & Judy Merrick with rounds of 96 and 99.
Division 3: Carol McKee & Jan Stewart with rounds of 104 and 107.

All three pairs played steady rounds to clinch wins in their respective divisions. There was a tie in Division 2 between Lis Oldfield & Judy Merrick and Linda Mathieson & Bev Boyer which necessitated a playoff on holes 1, 8 & 9 to decide the winner.  After the three extra holes Lis & Judy were 3 up and declared the winners.

Congratulations also to the Runners-up in each division – Monica Shon & Helen Lee (Division 1), Linda Mathieson & Bev Boyer (Division 2) and Donna Linnegar & Brenda Hamill (Division 3).

Women’s Bronze II and Bronze III Representative Teams
Thank you to all members of these representative teams for making the commitment to represent our club in these competitions. 

Results for Bronze III so far:
Week 1 – defeated Castle Hill 3 and 2 at Asquith
Week 2– lost to Pennant Hills 2 and 3 at Avondale
Week 3 – defeated Killara 3 and 2 at Muirfield
Week 4 –  squared with Asquith at Castle Hill
Week 5  – hosted at North Ryde
Week 6 –  playing Avondale at Pennant Hills

Results for Bronze II so far:
Week 1– lost to Muirfield 2 and 3 at Killara
Week 2 – lost to Cumberland 5 and 0 at Asquith
Week 3 – lost to Pymble 1.5 and 3.5 at Castle Hill
Week 4 – playing Killara at Muirfield
